Welcome to PlusMedicine LTD (“PlusMedicine”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, digital platforms, products, and services, including tutoring, courses, masterclasses, application support, and digital resources (“Services”). Please read these Terms carefully before using any of our Services.
By using our website or purchasing any of our Services, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately stop using our website and Services.
We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the website and Services constitutes acceptance of any updates or changes to these Terms. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically to ensure that you remain in compliance.
1. Company Details and Scope
1.1 PlusMedicine LTD is a sole proprietorship registered in British Columbia, Canada.
1.2 Our primary business activities include:
• UCAT tutoring
• Medical school interview preparation (MMI, panel)
• Personal statement support and editing
• UCAT and interview masterclasses
• UCAS and medical school application guidance
• Work experience application support (upcoming)
1.3 Services are delivered via live online sessions or, where applicable, in-person.
1.4 All users, customers, clients, students, or site visitors are subject to these Terms when accessing any part of PlusMedicine’s website, platforms, or Services.
1.5 These Terms apply regardless of whether a Service is free, trial-based, or purchased.
2. Copyright, Usage, and Intellectual Property
2.1 All content and materials provided by PlusMedicine—including but not limited to lesson plans, tutor presentations, slides, workbooks, personal statement edits, digital documents, eBooks, mock tests, and question sets—are the intellectual property of PlusMedicine LTD or its licensed third-party providers.
2.2 By purchasing or accessing our Services, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the materials strictly for your own personal and non-commercial educational purposes.
2.3 You may not:
•Reproduce, copy, download, distribute, republish, transmit, or publicly display any content
•Use our content for teaching, tutoring, or educational services not delivered through PlusMedicine
•Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any content without prior written permission
2.4 Certain resources incorporate content licensed from third-party platforms, including the UCAT Consortium and associated question banks. These are subject to their own intellectual property protections and must not be extracted or reused in any way outside the permitted format.
2.5 Access to digital resources (e.g., mock exams, recordings, guides) is time-limited and expires automatically—typically 6 months from the date of purchase, unless stated otherwise at the point of sale.
2.6 Any misuse, suspected unauthorised sharing, or violation of intellectual property rights may result in immediate termination of access without refund, and legal action may be pursued where appropriate.
2.7 All rights not expressly granted are reserved by PlusMedicine.
3. Accounts and Platform Access
3.1 To access certain Services, including tutoring sessions, editable documents, and course materials, users must register an account via the PlusMedicine platform or affiliated third-party systems (e.g., Notion, Google Forms, Calendly). You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and to keep your account credentials confidential.
3.2 You are solely responsible for all activity occurring under your account. You must not share your login credentials or allow others to access your account. PlusMedicine is not liable for any loss or damages arising from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your credentials.
3.3 Tutor and administrative accounts are separate from student accounts. Access is granted based on roles and responsibilities within the organisation. PlusMedicine reserves the right to modify, restrict, or revoke access at any time in response to misconduct, breach of these Terms, or platform misuse.
3.4 You may not attempt to circumvent or manipulate any of our systems, security mechanisms, or third-party integrations. This includes, but is not limited to, reverse engineering, scraping, or using automated tools to access restricted content.
3.5 If you suspect unauthorised use of your account, you must notify us immediately. We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion to protect the integrity of our systems and user data.
3.6 Tutors must adhere to internal policies regarding platform use, session recording, content uploading, and communication with students. Any breach of conduct may result in disciplinary measures including removal from the platform.
3.7 PlusMedicine may, at its sole discretion, deactivate dormant accounts or restrict access to outdated resources in line with our content lifecycle and account management policies.
4. Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations
4.1 All payments for Services must be made in full at the time of booking or purchase, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Upon successful payment, a receipt or invoice will be automatically issued via email.
4.2 Digital products, including eBooks, mock tests, pre-recorded masterclasses, and editable templates, are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded. Access to digital products may be time-limited and will expire after the stated duration unless renewed.
4.3 Tutoring hours, editing services, and masterclass bookings are refundable within a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase, provided that services have not yet commenced. If services have partially commenced, a partial refund for unused hours may be issued at our discretion.
4.4 You may reschedule tutoring sessions or editing deadlines with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Requests made less than 48 hours in advance may result in the session being forfeited without refund.
4.5 Cancellations made by PlusMedicine due to tutor unavailability, platform failure, or unforeseen circumstances will be fully refunded or rescheduled at your option.
4.6 Payment plans or bundles must be honoured in full according to the agreed schedule at checkout. No refunds will be provided for unused Services after the stated expiry date.
4.7 We reserve the right to review and update our refund and cancellation policies at any time. Any such updates will be reflected in this section and will apply prospectively to future purchases.
5. Liability and Disclaimers
5.1 PlusMedicine provides academic support services including but not limited to admissions tutoring, masterclasses, personal statement editing, and digital resources. These Services are advisory in nature and do not constitute guaranteed outcomes or professional accreditation.
5.2 We do not guarantee interview invitations, university offers, test score improvements, or any specific admissions results. All guidance and feedback are provided to the best of our ability but are subject to personal interpretation and application.
5.3 You are solely responsible for decisions made based on any PlusMedicine advice, documents, or materials. PlusMedicine accepts no liability for academic, professional, or personal outcomes resulting from your use of our Services.
5.4 We are not responsible for disruptions due to technical failures, internet outages, third-party platform issues (e.g., Notion, Calendly), or delays caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to illness, tutor absence, or force majeure events.
5.5 In cases where delays or interruptions occur, we will take reasonable steps to resolve the issue promptly or reschedule the affected session. However, no additional compensation will be provided unless required by law.
5.6 While we take reasonable precautions to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our content, we make no warranties that our Services are error-free or fit for any particular purpose. All Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
5.7 Any materials, documents, or feedback provided through editing services, mock interviews, or tutoring are for guidance only and are not to be submitted verbatim to any institution or authority.
5.8 In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain liabilities, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
6. Delivery of Services
6.1 PlusMedicine LTD delivers its Services through a combination of live online sessions, digital resources, written feedback, and—in certain cases—optional in-person tutoring where locally available. Access details, schedules, and platform links will be provided upon successful registration and payment.
6.2 Digital products such as mock exams, eBooks, templates, and recordings will be made available via secure download links, online platforms, or through user accounts, as specified at the time of purchase.
6.3 Tutoring and masterclass sessions are delivered via third-party video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom or Google Meet). It is the responsibility of the user to ensure access to a functioning device and internet connection.
6.4 PlusMedicine LTD is not responsible for delays in service delivery caused by incorrect contact information, failure to check communication channels, or technological incompatibility on the user’s end.
6.5 All Services are scheduled based on tutor and student availability. Booking requests will be honoured on a first-come, first-served basis. Confirmation will be provided once a booking is formally accepted.
6.6 Service timelines, including turnaround time for personal statement edits or application reviews, will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase. While we make reasonable efforts to meet these timelines, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
6.7 In the event of unforeseen tutor illness, technical issues, or scheduling conflicts, we reserve the right to reschedule or reassign the session to another qualified tutor. We will notify the user in a timely manner.
6.8 Access to digital materials may be time-limited (e.g., 6 months from purchase) and may expire automatically. Users are responsible for reviewing the availability period before purchase.
6.9 You are responsible for checking your email, account dashboard, or other communication platforms for updates regarding service delivery. Missed communications may result in loss of access or scheduling opportunities.
7. Account Security and Conduct
7.1 To access certain Services, users are required to create an account on the PlusMedicine platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed to keep it accurate and complete.
7.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your username and password. You agree not to share your login details or permit others to access your account under any circumstances.
7.3 Any activity under your account is deemed your responsibility. If you suspect unauthorised access or misuse of your account, you must notify PlusMedicine LTD immediately. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to safeguard your account.
7.4 Tutors and administrative staff may access separate dashboards or accounts. These are subject to internal usage policies and may be monitored or restricted in the case of suspected misuse, data breaches, or violations of these Terms.
7.5 You agree not to use the platform to:
•Transmit or upload any material that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
•Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with another person or organisation
•Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, systems, or networks
•Upload or distribute viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
7.6 We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account without notice if we believe you have violated these Terms, compromised the security of the platform, or used the Services inappropriately.
7.7 Users agree to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally in all interactions with PlusMedicine tutors, staff, and fellow students. Inappropriate, aggressive, or harassing behaviour will result in disciplinary action, including possible account termination.
8. Student Code of Conduct
8.1 By using PlusMedicine’s Services, you agree to uphold standards of respectful, professional, and ethical conduct in all interactions with tutors, staff, other students, and members of the PlusMedicine community.
8.2 You must:
•Attend scheduled sessions on time and be prepared with any necessary materials or pre-reading
•Communicate respectfully and constructively with tutors and peers
•Follow reasonable instructions from PlusMedicine staff and tutors during sessions, courses, or activities
•Use the platform and resources for their intended purpose only
•Avoid disruptive behaviour or conduct that detracts from a safe and inclusive learning environment
8.3 You must not:
•Record, distribute, or share any session, resource, or content without written permission
•Share answers, cheat, or seek unauthorised assistance during mock exams or assessments
•Use inappropriate language, harass, threaten, or engage in discriminatory behaviour
•Promote or solicit services unrelated to PlusMedicine
•Engage in any activity that could be interpreted as academic dishonesty or misconduct
8.4 PlusMedicine maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour. Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform, with no entitlement to refund or re-enrolment.
8.5 In severe cases, PlusMedicine reserves the right to notify your school, university, or other relevant institutions where misconduct poses a risk to others, breaches academic integrity, or violates applicable laws.
9. Tutor Responsibilities
9.1 All tutors working with PlusMedicine are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, and educational quality in line with our core mission to provide accurate, ethical, and student-focused academic guidance.
9.2 Tutors must:
•Deliver sessions punctually and with adequate preparation
•Provide accurate, up-to-date, and curriculum-relevant information
•Maintain a respectful and inclusive tone with all students
•Follow any curriculum or session plans agreed upon with PlusMedicine
•Keep all student information confidential and use it solely for the purpose of instruction
9.3 Tutors may not:
•Share or reuse student work or personal data for any purpose outside the scope of their contracted role
•Solicit payment directly from students or offer side services outside of PlusMedicine without written consent
•Engage in unprofessional or inappropriate behaviour in any session, correspondence, or platform use
9.4 All teaching materials developed by tutors during their engagement with PlusMedicine remain the intellectual property of PlusMedicine LTD unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9.5 Tutors must report any technical issues, student concerns, or suspected breaches of this Agreement to PlusMedicine promptly.
9.6 Failure to adhere to these responsibilities may be subject to disciplinary action, including removal from the platform and forfeiture of unpaid tutoring fees for unapproved conduct.
10. Work Experience & Observership Disclaimer
10.1 PlusMedicine does not currently offer work experience placements or observerships. Any future offerings in this area will be clearly outlined on our website and subject to separate terms.
10.2 If and when work experience or observership opportunities are introduced, the following terms will apply:
10.3 Participants must understand that:
•These opportunities are educational in nature and do not constitute employment, job placement, or professional certification
•They are unpaid, non-clinical, and solely observational unless otherwise stated
•Participation does not guarantee future academic or career advancement
10.4 Participants agree to:
•Comply with all safety rules, confidentiality agreements, and host site requirements
•Respect the boundaries and privacy of any clinical or institutional setting they are placed in
•Acknowledge that these experiences may be withdrawn or cancelled at any time due to availability, institutional decisions, or force majeure circumstances
10.5 PlusMedicine assumes no responsibility for:
•Injury, illness, or loss incurred during the course of a placement or observership
•Visa or legal requirements for international students
•Travel, accommodation, or incidental costs related to participation
10.6 By applying to or participating in any future placement, participants agree to hold PlusMedicine harmless for any direct or indirect outcomes related to the experience.
11. Third-Party Tools and Integrations
11.1 PlusMedicine uses third-party platforms to deliver and manage its Services. These include, but are not limited to, Notion (content delivery), Google Forms (data collection), Calendly (scheduling), Stripe (payments), and other software tools to support administration and communication.
11.2 By using our Services, you acknowledge and accept that:
•Your personal data may be processed and stored via these third-party services in accordance with their individual privacy policies
•You may be required to create an account or accept separate terms of use to access some features or services
11.3 We are not responsible for:
•The accuracy, functionality, or availability of third-party platforms
•Any downtime, data breaches, or service interruptions that arise from issues with third-party systems
•Changes made to third-party tools, their terms, or pricing
11.4 Users must not attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or misuse any integrated tool or platform used by PlusMedicine. Doing so will constitute a breach of these Terms.
11.5 Any content delivered through third-party tools remains the intellectual property of PlusMedicine LTD and is subject to the same restrictions on copying, redistribution, and commercial use as outlined in Section 2.
12. Data Handling and Privacy Commitments
12.1 PlusMedicine is committed to safeguarding your personal information and handling all data in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws.
12.2 By using our Services, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy, which will be made available separately and updated as needed.
12.3 We collect personal information (e.g., name, email, phone number, academic background) for the purposes of:
•Registering and managing user accounts
•Scheduling tutoring and editing sessions
•Delivering purchased Services
•Issuing invoices and receipts
•Internal analysis, quality control, and service improvement
•Communicating service-related updates, feedback requests, and marketing materials (with consent)
Billing and payment information is securely processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. PlusMedicine does not directly store or access your full credit card or banking details.
12.4 Your data may be stored in secure cloud-based systems managed by PlusMedicine or our third-party service providers, such as Notion, Google, Calendly, or Stripe. We take reasonable measures to ensure that your data is protected from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.
12.5 We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. We only share information where:
•Required by law or legal process
•Necessary for delivering our Services through integrated platforms (e.g., scheduling via Calendly)
•You have explicitly consented to data sharing (e.g., marketing communications)
12.6 You have the right to request:
•A copy of the personal data we hold about you
•Correction of inaccurate or outdated data
•Erasure of your data, subject to legal and operational limitations
•Withdrawal of consent for marketing at any time
12.7 Requests related to your personal data must be submitted in writing to support@plusmedicine.ca. We reserve the right to verify your identity before processing any request.
12.8 We may retain anonymized or aggregated data for research, training, or service development purposes.
13. Media, Photography and Marketing Consent
13.1 By participating in any of our Services, including live tutoring, online classes, workshops, and events, you acknowledge and agree that photographs, video recordings, or screenshots may be taken by PlusMedicine for internal documentation or promotional use.
13.2 These materials may be used by PlusMedicine for marketing purposes including but not limited to:
•Website content
•Social media posts and advertising
•Email newsletters
•Presentations and promotional materials
13.3 We will never associate your full name or identifiable personal details with any publicly used media without your explicit written consent.
13.4 If you do not wish to appear in any marketing content, you must notify us in writing prior to attending any live session or submitting any work. We will make reasonable efforts to honour such requests, including excluding you from group photographs or editing out identifiable footage.
13.5 You may withdraw your consent for future use of any media content by contacting us at support@plusmedicine.ca. While we will cease further use, we may not be able to remove content already published or printed.
13.6 Participation in any promotional campaign or testimonial is entirely voluntary and may be separately agreed upon.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
14.1 These Terms and any disputes arising from or relating to your use of PlusMedicine’s Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
14.2 You agree that any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.
14.3 In jurisdictions that do not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain liabilities, PlusMedicine’s liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
14.4 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
